Key Responsibilities

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (MBA preferred).

Industry-specific experience is a plus (e.g., SaaS, healthcare, fintech, etc.).

As an ETL/ELT Tester with 2-3 years of experience, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and performance of our data pipelines. You will collaborate closely with ETL/ELT developers, data engineers, and business analysts to design, develop, and execute test cases that validate data transformations, data loads, and end-to-end data workflows.
Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Strategy:

Analyze ETL/ELT requirements and design documents to define a comprehensive test strategy.

Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data validation.

• Test Case Development & Execution:

Create and maintain automated and manual test cases for data extraction, loading, and transformation processes.

Perform data reconciliation and integrity checks between source and target systems.

• Automation & Tools:

Leverage automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Apache JMeter, SQL-based scripts) to optimize repetitive testing tasks.

Utilize data testing tools (e.g., Informatica DQ, Talend, QuerySurge) to validate large datasets.

• Defect Management:

Log and track defects using tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps.

Analyze root causes and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

• Performance Testing:

Conduct performance and load testing on ELT workflows to identify bottlenecks and scalability issues.

Provide recommendations to improve data pipeline efficiency.

• Data Quality & Governance:

Implement data quality checks, profiling, and validations to adhere to governance standards.

Document and report data anomalies and inconsistencies.

• Collaboration & Communication:

Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).

Communicate test results, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

• Work closely with BA/Stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements to develop test plans, scripts and test cases while identifying project scope & risks
• Creation and maintenance of test artifacts – Test plans, Test cases & Test scripts
• Create automated tests & contribute towards improving the existing automation framework capabilities
• Conduct manual and automated testing, analyzing results and reporting any release impacts and risks
• Implement the functional testing automation tools knowledge in the project
• Develop automation frameworks and processes that are leveraged or used by others
• Create the automation testing strategy for assigned projects after understanding the business needs
• Identify potential risks/issues during the delivery and recommend appropriate mitigation/escalation path
• Use efficient automation test execution techniques to achieve best results
• Analyze and review the automation test results and give suggestions to improve on planning
• Must have basic knowledge about German language.
